Charlene James wins Critics' Circle Award for Cuttin’ It

Charlene James has won Most Promising Playwright for Cuttin’ It at this year’s Critics’ Circle Awards.

A Royal Court/Young Vic co-production with Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Sheffield Theatres and The Yard Theatre, Cuttin’ It was performed in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs in June and July 2016.

The play won Charlene the George Devine Award for Most Promising Playwright in 2015, the Alfred Fagon Award for Best New Play and the UK Theatre Award for Best New Play 2016 and Most Promising Playwright at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in 2016.
