Paul Clark

Paul is co-artistic director of Clod Ensemble & has written original scores for all the company’s productions to date.

Theatre includes: Sadler’s Wells; Tate Modern Turbine Hall; South Bank Centre; Welsh Millenium Centre; Brighton Dome; Public Theater, New York; Museo Serralves, Porto.

Opera includes: The Weather Man (Opera North 2004-9); Liebeslied/My Suicides (ICA/Genesis Foundation 2004).

He has written dozens of scores for theatre in the UK and internationally for directors including Katie Mitchell, David Farr, Lois Weaver and Judy Hegarty Lovett. Venues include the National Theatre, Barbican, Royal Court, Young Vic, Berlin Schaubuhne, Vienna Schauspiehaus, Paris Odeon.

He has also written for film and TV, for directors including Arnaud Desplechin, Emily Young, Roger Gual, John McDonagh and Chris Gernon and collaborated with a huge range of artists including Dangermouse, New Civilization Orchestra, Mark E Smith, Austrian Ensemble for New Music, Rut Blees Luxemburg, Leo Warner, Simon Amstell and David Sedaris.

Awards include: Arts Foundation fellowship.
