From 2003–2011, he served as Associate Artistic Director at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. From 2012-2018, he served as Artistic Director of Actors Theatre of Louisville. His book, The Theatre of Les Waters: More Like the Weather, edited by Scott T. Cummings, was published by Routledge in 2022.
