The Children and Hangmen Receive Outer Critics Circle Nominations

Royal Court Theatre productions have received 3 Outer Critics Circle nominations including Outstanding New Broadway Play for The Children and Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play for Hangmen with Johnny Flynn nominated in the Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play category. The annual awards celebrate excellence in New York theatre.

The Children was written by Lucy Kirkwood and directed by James Macdonald. It opened at the Royal Court in 2016. The production transferred to Manhattan Theatre Club in November 2017 presented by the Royal Court Theatre and Manhattan Theatre Club.

Hangmen, written by Martin McDonagh and directed by Matthew Dunster, opened at the Royal Court in 2015 before transferring to the West End. It was produced by Royal Court Theatre Productions, Robert Fox, Matthew Byam Shaw for Playful Productions. The New York transfer opened at Atlantic Theater Company in January 2018.
