The Ferryman by Jez Butterworth extends West End run to January 2018

The producers, Sonia Friedman Productions, Neal Street Productions and Royal Court Theatre Productions today announced that Jez Butterworth’s The Ferryman, directed by Sam Mendes, will extend its run at the Gielgud Theatre until 6 January 2018. The production won widespread critical acclaim when it opened at the Royal Court and was the fastest selling show in the theatre’s history.

The Ferryman is directed by Sam Mendes, designed by Rob Howell, with lighting by Peter Mumford, and sound and original music by Nick Powell. Full casting for the extension will be confirmed soon.

It premiered at the Royal Court in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs on 24 April 2017 and ran until 20 May 2017 before opening at the Gielgud on 20 June 2017.
