Royal Court Theatre Receives 9 Nominations for the Olivier Awards 2018

It was announced today that the Royal Court has received nine nominations in the shortlist for the Olivier Awards 2018.

The Ferryman received eight nominations including Best New Play. It is written by Jez Butterworth and directed by Sam Mendes. The Ferryman is a co-production between Royal Court Theatre Productions, Sonia Friedman Productions and Neal Street Productions. It became the fastest selling show in the Royal Court’s history and is now running at the Gielgud Theatre until 19 May 2018 and will transfer to Broadway on 2 October 2018.

Killology was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre. Killology opened at the Royal Court 25 May 2017. Written by Gary Owen, the co-production with the Sherman Theatre was directed by Rachel O’Riordan.

The winners will be announced in a ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 8 April 2018.
