Speakers announced for Open Court ahead of its launch on Monday 18 July 2016

Speakers include members of the Youth Board, Vicky Featherstone, Ossie Stuart, Lyndsey Turner and Stuart Worden.

Open Court is three weeks of work curated by Young Court (15 – 24 year olds) which includes performances, installations, talks and workshops.

Speakers for 60 Years New – What Is New are Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone, Artistic Associate, Graham Whybrow and members of the Royal Court Youth Board. They will explore questions such as can political plays have a shelf-life and does it matter, which plays have been ground-breaking at the Royal Court and beyond, and whether anything on stage can ever be truly be original.

Guest speakers for When Will My ___ Stop Limiting Me? are Ossie Stuart, a diversity consultant specialising in ethnicity and disability and members of the Youth Board.
The talk will explore breaking barriers around race, gender, disability, sexuality and class.

Schools As Exam Factories is a new work exploring the pressures on young people in a system that measures intelligence by exam results.
Chaired by theatre director Lyndsey Turner and featuring guests including Stuart Worden, the principle of The BRIT School in Croydon, a free arts school for 14 to 19 year olds, this panel discussion considers the pressures on young people in a system that measures intelligence by exam results.

Prefaced by an original piece by Rebecca Porter performed by members of the National Youth Theatre.
