OUR WORK 

The Royal Court Theatre is a leading force in world theatre, dedicated to new work by innovative writers. We pride ourselves on artistic excellence, but the plays we produce are just the tip of the iceberg.

Behind the scenes, we discover new talent, amplify unheard voices and develop new audiences from diverse communities. To fund this work, we rely on support from charitable bodies whose vital contributions help ensure we are a theatre for everyone, regardless of background or circumstance. 

OUR NEED FOR SUPPORT 

The Royal Court, operating as The English Stage Company Limited, is a charity and a company limited by guarantee. Less than a third of our annual income comes from Arts Council England. To sustain our work and deliver on our mission, we need to fundraise at least £2 million each year. Charitable trusts and foundations make a vital contribution to this target.
