As part of a series of projects with the Tibetan Community in London, we will be running five once a week early evening writing sessions beginning 3 October 2019.
The workshops will be writer-led in collaboration with playwright Carl Miller and Dechen Pemba (Editor, High Peaks Pure Earth) and are open to members of the Tibetan community who would like to develop their writing skills and approaches in the company of others. It will be a supportive and encouraging environment, for which no previous experience of playwriting is needed.
Over the five sessions, the participants will work through discussion and practical writing activities to explore elements of playwriting including; character, story, speech, action, ideas and world building. Our aims are that everyone taking part will gain confidence in their writing, explore new approaches and benefit from being among other Tibetan writers in a supportive environment.
We will not be requiring any particular form or style of writing and participants can write in English or Tibetan.
