Live Lunch returns with five new plays. Five writers from the Royal Court Live Lunch Writers Group will create new plays to be performed live as lunchtime readings during the run of Plaques and Tangles in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs. Fri 23 Oct Things Can Only Get Better by David Watson A play about principles, power and hope. Cast: Robyn Addison, Pearce Quigley and Sarah Woodward Fri 30 Oct Aperture by Vickie Donoghue directed by Roy Alexander Weise A play about loss, New Year's Eve and awkward family photographs. Cast: Joanna Bacon, Claire- Louis Cordwell, Tahirah Sharif, Seun Shote Fri 6 Nov Through Water and Stars by Chino Odimba directed by Lucy Morrison A story of families, football and what we lose at sea. Cast: Estella Daniels and Valentine Olukoga Fri 13 Nov Poppet by Caroline Horton directed by Hamish Pirie A play about love, food and the end of the world. Cast: Janet Henfrey, Petra Massey and Christian Patterson Fri 20 Nov An Apology by Rob Hayes directed by John Tiffany A play about trying, failing, and quitting. Cast: Christine Bottomley, Sharon Duncan-Brewster and Mike Noble Running time: 50 minutes. Cast to be announced. Bring along a sandwich and listen to a new play, performed live in your lunch break. The Royal Court Bar & Kitchen will be serving lunch pre and post show. Age Guidance 14+
