Young Playwrights Award Workshops

Are you thinking about applying for our Young Playwrights Award, but want some support with writing your play?

Join us for one of our free, online workshops, led by professional Royal Court playwright Oli Forsyth, to help you write a play to enter the Young Playwrights Award 2026 (deadline 22 April 2026).

These workshops are a chance to develop your playwriting alongside other young writers, with exercises and support from a Royal Court playwright.

We would encourage you to come to the workshop with some ideas, and maybe even some writing, if you have started work on your play already.

Workshops are free but you need to book by emailing YoungPlaywrights@royalcourttheatre.com. You will be sent a permissions form to complete and return. Spaces are limited, so please also let us know if you can no longer make it.
