The Stage Debut Awards 2026: three Royal Court nominations

The Royal Court has received three nominations for The Stage Debut Awards:

Best Performer in a Play: Robert Aramayo in Guess How Much I Love You?

Best writer: Georgie Dettmer for Are You Watching? and Jack Nicholls for The Shitheads

Guess How Much I Love You by Luke Norris ran in the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Downstairs from Friday 16 January until Saturday 21 February 2026. It was directed by Jeremy Herrin.

Are You Watching? by Georgie Dettmer ran in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from Friday 29 May until Saturday 4 July 2026. It was directed by Jess Edwards.

The Shitheads by Jack Nicholls ran in the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from Friday 6 February until Saturday 14 March 2026 and was co directed by Artistic Director David Byrne and Resident Director Aneesha Srinivasan.

The Stage Debut Awards, in association with Netflix, recognise the industry’s most exciting new names across performance, writing, directing and design.
