“The Royal Court has nurtured, provoked and challenged me from the moment writing for theatre seemed a faint possibility for me. Its uncompromising commitment to risk-taking, bravado and joy has indelibly marked me as an artist and human. I’m honoured to call it a second home.”
Jasmine Lee-Jones, Playwright
The Royal Court is the writers’ theatre. We exist to cultivate writers – undiscovered, emerging and established. We create restless, alert, provocative theatre about now. In today’s world, our mission is more important than ever before; we must be unflinching and keep taking risks to find stories from everywhere and create theatre for everyone.
Our teams have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, adapting and delivering our projects and productions for our audiences, our writers and young people. As we open our doors and welcome you back into our building, join us as we work towards a more sustainable future for our work and for our writers. Find out below the different ways in which you can be part of the Royal Court’s future.
