Job Title: Deputy Manager, Bar & Kitchen

Line Manager: Bar & Kitchen General Manager

Supervises*: Supervisors, Bar & Floor Team (*Line management remains with GM)

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Court Theatre as Deputy Manager in the Bar & Kitchen team.

The Deputy Manager is responsible for the day to day operational management of the Royal Court Bar and Kitchen, supported by and within the parameters of the leadership of the General Manager. The role ensures exceptional guest experiences and business success through effective shift management, team leadership and operational excellence.

Under the leadership of the General Manager, the Deputy Manager takes ownership of service delivery during operational shifts, while supporting the wider commercial, financial and people objectives of the business. The role acts as a lead manager on duty for the majority of trading shifts and deputises for the General Manager during periods of absence.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity within hospitality
  • Demonstratable interpersonal skills, able to offer a consistently high standard of customer care
  • Experience overseeing a food operation.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of licensing laws, health & safety and hygiene regulations and best practice.
