Practical support to help you feel confident and comfortable during your visit.

From assistive technologies to step-free routes, quiet spaces to support dogs - we’re here to make every part of your experience accessible.

If there’s anything we can do to support your visit, or if you have questions not covered below, please get in touch.

Access Support

Assistive Listening Devices

We offer Sennheiser headsets (infrared system) in both theatres to:

  • Amplify sound for hard of hearing patrons
  • Provide live audio description during designated performances

Headsets are free and can be collected from the Cloakroom (Stalls level)
In the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, optimal seating for this system is marked on our auditorium plan. The Upstairs theatre is covered throughout.

Induction Loops

An induction loop is available at Box Office - just let our staff know if you’d like to use it.

We also offer portable loop systems for meetings, events or hires across the building.

Support Dogs

Guide and hearing dogs are very welcome.

Let us know when booking so we can reserve an aisle seat or arrange support from our team if you'd prefer us to look after your dog during the performance. Some productions may feature loud noises or sudden effects, so feel free to ask for content guidance before attending.

Wheelchair Access & Mobility Support
  • We welcome patrons remaining in wheelchairs or transferring to theatre seating
  • Our auditorium layout can change so sharing information about your wheelchair will ensure we can book you the best seats for the performance
