Jamie Vartan is an award-winning
designer, his current theatre
credits include: Ballyturk (Galway
Arts Festival 2014 and National
Theatre). Previous theatre credits
include: Misterman (Galway Arts
Festival 2011, National Theatre
and St Anne’s Warehouse, New
York); The Hostage, Mrs Warren’s
Profession, The Playboy of the
Western World (National Theatre
of Ireland) and Mass Observation
(Almeida Theatre). Current work in
opera includes: Romeo et Juliette
(Herceg Novi Amphitheatre,
Montenegro) and Manon Lescaut
(Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia,
Valencia). His design for A Village
Romeo and Juliet (Wexford
Operai) won the Irish Times Best
Set Design Award 2013.
