International Writers' Groups

Writers groups form a key part of the Royal Court’s work with all writers. In an International context, these projects spring from long term partnerships with theatres, festivals, universities and other kinds of organisations and are designed collaboratively around the context in which writers are working. These projects offer a space for writers to work on a new play alongside peers and to exchange different approaches to dramaturgy, writing and performance. They take place online and through intensive in-person workshops outside the UK and are led by playwrights, artists and dramaturgs who work closely with the Royal Court and our international partners.
