Caryl Churchill and Lucy Kirkwood Recognised at the 2018 Writers’ Guild Awards.

The Writers’ Guide Awards were announced at a ceremony on Monday 15 January 2018 in London.

Caryl Churchill was also presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Writing Award for her exemplary career. On receiving the award, Churchill said she was “overwhelmed” and that it meant a great deal “to be recognised by you my writing colleagues and the Writers’ Guild.”

Lucy Kirkwood was the recipient of a Writers’ Guild Award for Best Play for The Children which opened at the Royal Court last year and is currently running in New York.
