Monae Robinson

Monae Robinson, is currently undergoing her degree at Goldsmiths university in theatre and performance. Her degree course looks at, the way in which politics and theatre coincide. Monae has facilitated workshops for the S+K project, who aims to bring artistic practice to BAME communities. Monae has a performing arts background, which includes directing and acting. Monae spent most of her youth working with the Young Vic theatre, where she is now on the directors programme. Monae has worked with various theatre companies, such as frantic assembly. Through these opportunities, she has allowed it to help shape her thinking on what needs to change within the theatre industry. Monae believes it is her soul purpose to be a writer, as this what she does more than all of the above. Monae however, also aims to be active in outreach and education. Monae is determined to make sure that young people have access to the arts, but mainly to ensure that Black, Asian, minority Ethnic people have as equal opportunity as others.
