Captioned Performances

Captions make the performance accessible to people who are deaf, deafened, or hard of hearing. They may also prove useful to those who are neurodivergent, or who speak English as a second language.

BSL-interpreted Performances

BSL-interpreted performances, delivered by an interpreter, give a sign interpretation of the text spoken and/or sung by artists in the onstage production.

BSL Interpreted performances are performances where a British Sign Language Interpreter is on stage interpreting the words and songs live. They are suitable for D/deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people who use or have an interest in British Sign Language.

Audio-described Performances

Audio-described performances are accessible for people who are blind or partially sighted. They are preceded by a touch tour which allows patrons access to elements of theatre design including set and costume.

Chilled Performances

Chilled performances are suitable for those who may benefit from a more relaxed environment.

 During these performances:

-There is a relaxed attitude to noise in the auditorium; you are welcome to respond to the show in whatever way feels natural

-You can enter and exit the auditorium when needed

-We will help you find the best seats for your experience

Age UK Performances

We are partnering with Age UK Kensington & Chelsea to host Age UK Performances, which will be free for Age UK members, will be captioned and will include complimentary tea and biscuits in the Bar & Kitchen, in an effort to fight isolation and encourage community.

Story Synopsis

Sensory Synopsis

A sensory synopsis is intended to help those with sensory and communication requirements prepare for the experience of attending a performance. Our aim is to warn you of any moments with loud noises, flashes of light, sudden or surprising movements or heightened emotion.

**Chilled performances offer patrons a more relaxed environment in which to enjoy a production, which includes distancing between patrons when sat in the auditorium if requested.
