Location: The Royal Court Theatre, London (with some requirement to work additional shifts at other venues associated with Royal Court Theatre productions)
Contract: Fixed Term/Zero Hours – 1st May to 1st October 2025
Salary: £13.85 per hour
We have an exciting opportunity for team members to join the Royal Court Theatre as Bar & Floor Staff on a Fixed-Term Contract. This varied and dynamic role will primarily involve supporting operations at our outdoor bar, Summer in Sloane Square, while also contributing to the day-to-day activities in our Bar & Kitchen.
As a Bar & Floor Staff member, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and vibrant atmosphere, delivering the highest standards of service to our guests and theatre patrons. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of food and drink, maximising sales, and maintaining compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.
You’ll work alongside a passionate and dedicated team, collaborating closely with the Bar & Kitchen Manager, Lead Cook, Bar & Floor Supervisors, Senior Supervisors, and the Head of Operations and Sustainability. A successful candidate will have:
- Previous bar or waiting/floor experience: Practical experience working in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment, confidently handling food and drink service.
- High standard of customer care: A strong focus on providing friendly, attentive service and creating a positive experience for all patrons.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: The ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively within a team, and build good relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Accurate cash-handling skills: Competence in managing cash and card payments, ensuring accuracy and following security procedures.
