Anupama Chandrasekhar

Anupama Chandrasekhar is an Indian playwright born and based in Chennai. For the Royal Court, she wrote Disconnect and Free Outgoing. Her most recent play When the Crows Visit played at the Kiln in 2019. Anupama was the National Theatre’s first international playwright-in-residence from 2016-2017 and has been shortlisted for the Evening Standard Most Promising Playwright, Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and John Whiting Award (UK). Her works have been staged at leading venues in India, Europe, Canada and the US.
