Tom Stoppard’s Rock ‘N’ Roll (Royal Court/West End/Broadway); Creditors (Donmar); Glengarry Glenn Ross,
Love Song, Guys & Dolls, Donkey’s Years and Heroes (West End); The Music Man, Hay Fever and The Circle
(Chichester Festival Theatre); In A Dark House ,The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot (Almeida): and Matthew
Bourne’s Nutcracker! and Edward Scissorhands at Sadler’s Wells and on tour in the UK and the US. Howard’s
opera and dance work includes Il Trovatore,Aida, I Masnadieri and Otello for the Royal Opera, The Merry
Widow for ENO, Swan Lake and Romeo & Juliet for English National Ballet and The Makropulos Case and
Nabucco for the Metropolitan Opera, New York.
Howard was awarded the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Lighting Designer in 2008 for his work on
Macbeth. He has received Tony Award Nominations for his work on Mary Poppins and Macbeth on Broadway.
