Joakim was born in Lidingö, just outside of
Stockholm, in 1961. He is of Swedish-Finnish
origin.
Publications include: Nine comic books
(1983-2004), including Socker-Conny (1985)
which was adapted into a play; Den Svenska
Apan (The Swedish Monkey) (2001).
Radio includes: Fåglarnas Underbara Liv
(The Wonderful Life of Birds), Skönhetsmord
(Beauty Murder).
As an artist he exhibits regularly and has
illustrated around twenty books. Joakim is
also a journalist, publisher and maker of
short films.
