For the Royal Court:Paul was Head of Sound at the Royal Court from 1993 to 2001, designing over 70 productions including Jumpy, Plasticine, 4:48 Psychosis, Far Away, Blasted, Via Dolorosa, The Weir, Mojo, Shopping & Fucking, Some Voices, The Kitchen. 

Paul is currently an Associate at the National.

Other theatre includes: Stranger Things: The First Shadow (West End); Guys & Dolls, The Book of Dust: La Belle Sauvage, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Julius Caesar (Bridge); The Jungle (National/Young Vic/West End/New York/San Francisco).   

Awards include:Tony, Drama Desk and Olivier Awards for Billy Elliot the Musical in the West End and on Broadway, an Olivier nomination for The Inheritance, Tony nominations for Mary Stuart and The Inheritance, an Evening Standard Award for Festen in the West End, a Drama Desk Award for The Pillowman on Broadway.   

Paul announced his retirement in 2024, so Brace Brace is probably his final sound design.
