Rose Lewenstein
Rose Lewenstein is a writer whose plays include: Cougar (Orange Tree); Darknet (Southwark Playhouse); Now This Is Not The End (Arcola); Game of Life (Yard); Only Human (Theatre503); Entries on Love (Rich Mix) and Ain’t No Law Against Fish ‘n’ Chips (Royal Court Young Writers’ Festival). Her play Psychoslut was featured in the Women@RADA series. Rose has been a member of the Royal Court Writers’ Groups.
Rose is developing a number of TV projects including original drama SELF (Kudos/BBC); an adaptation of best-selling novel THE FLATSHARE by Beth O’Leary for (42/BBC); and an adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s SEX LIVES OF SIAMESE TWINS (Buccaneer Media). She is also writing an original screenplay RABBITS with producer Sarah Brocklehurst with support from BFI’s Vision Award. Rose is currently writing on J Blakeson’s recently greenlit TV series CULPRITS, which Character Seven is producing for Disney.
As well as writing for the screen, Rose composes original songs and performs in the cult comedy cabaret act The Sex Shells. They had a residency at The Glory as well as playing sell out runs at Edinburgh Festival and Soho Theatre.
