Roy Alexander Weise MBE is a theatre director. For the Royal Court, he directed Primetime and was previously a Trainee Director. He is the joint Artistic Director of the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. He is a tutor at Open Door and sits on the advisory board of Uproot. His work has been staged at the National, Bush, Ovalhouse, Bristol Tobacco Factory, Theatre503, Arcola, Young Vic, Finborough and on the West End. Roy was the 2016 recipient of the James Menzies-Kitchin Young Director Award. At the start of 2020, Roy was awarded an MBE for his services to drama.
