Ruby has always been keen on performance since a young age, only within the last year have they begun to explore writing as a creative outlet. Their initial participation in the Hackney Empire’s writers’ group is what helped them discover this, subsequently The Royal Court has nurtured their development since. Ruby often draws on personal experience when writing, demonstrating a raw and visceral style.
