For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When the Hue Gets Too Heavy, by Ryan Calais Cameron, and Purple Snowflakes and Titty Wanks, by Sarah Hanly, have been nominated in two categories at The Stage Debut Awards.

The cast of For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When the Hue Gets Too Heavy have been nominated in the Best Performer in a Play category as an ensemble. They are: Mark Akintimehin, Emmanuel Akwafo, Nnabiko Ejimofor, Darragh Hand, Aruna Jalloh and Kaine Lawrence. For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When The Hue Gets Too Heavy, in association with New Diorama Theatre and Nouveau Riche, ran in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs from Thursday 31 March 2022 – Saturday 7 May 2022.

Alice Fitzgerald has been nominated for Purple Snowflakes and Titty Wanks in the Best Director category. Purple Snowflakes and Titty Wanks ran in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from Tuesday 1 February 2022 – Saturday 12 February 2022. It was a co-production with the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, where it was performed in Autumn 2021.

The winners will be announced at The Stage Debut Awards Ceremony on 18th September 2022.
