Four Nominations in Evening Standard Awards Shortlist

The Royal Court Theatre has received four nominations in the shortlist for the Evening Standard Awards, it was announced this week.

The Royal Court Theatre has received four nominations in the shortlist for the Evening Standard Awards, it was announced this week.

Caryl Churchill’s latest play Love and Information is nominated for Best New Play, with James Macdonald nominated for Best Director.

Nick Payne’s Constellations is nominated for Best New Play. Constellations opened in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs at the Royal Court in January 2012, as part of the Royal Court’s Jerwood New Playwrights programme, supported by the Jerwood Charitable Foundation and has recently transferred to the West End as part of the Royal Court’s season at the Duke of York’s Theatre in partnership with Ambassador Theatre Group.

Abby Rakic-Platt is nominated for Outstanding Newcomer for her role in Vera Vera Vera by Hayley Squires, part of the Royal Court’s Young Writers Festival.

The winners will be announced in a ceremony at the Savoy Hotel on Sunday 25 November
