Jamal Ajala and Jasmine Lee-Jones receive awards at this year’s The Stage Debut Awards

Two Royal Court Theatre productions have received awards from The Stage Debut Awards which were set up to recognise breakthrough theatre talent.

Jamal Ajala has won Best Actor in a Play for his performance in ear for eye by debbie tucker green which ran in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs 25 October 2018 – 24 November 2018, and Jasmine Lee-Jones has won Best Writer for her debut play seven methods of killing kylie jenner which ran in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs 4 July 2019 – 27 July 2019.

Superhoe was also nominated for two awards for Best Writer (Nicôle Lecky) and Best Director (Jade Lewis).

The Stage Debut Awards, in association with Access Entertainment, were presented at the Brewery in London on September 15, 2019.
