Living Newspaper Update

Published on Tue 3 Nov 2020

Following the news on Saturday, we are still working towards  Living Newspaper: A Counter Narrative  but, for now, we are postponing performances until we’re out of lockdown. We aim to open the first Editions in December.

Whatever the timing, Living Newspaper will happen.

Over the next few days our design collective, production team and freelance colleagues  are turning the building into the living newspaper, and then from Thursday we will pause.

So far, we have committed to working with over 60 writers and through the project we will work with a whole host of technicians, stage managers, designers, lighting designers, sound designers, choreographers and over 50 actors, including casting a 2020 drama  graduate as part of the acting company for  each weekly Edition. Despite the change to our programming schedule, we are looking after everybody involved in the project.

We were able to shift our programme so quickly thanks to support from our audiences, supporters and from Arts Council England. If you are able to, you can help us ensure our work continues and that we stay true to our mission to support writers, by donating to Support the Court today.  Every £1 you give will be doubled thanks to matched funding generously donated by our Board and Development Council.

We will be back in touch with more details about Living Newspaper soon.
