Royal Court Theatre releases In the Bookshop with... Lucy Kirkwood

In the Bookshop with… Lucy Kirkwood is the next episode in the Royal Court’s ongoing digital series. Lucy Kirkwood wrote Rapture, which played in the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Downstairs from 10 June to 16 July 2022, and Maryland, which played in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from 7 to 23 October 2021.

A collaboration between the Royal Court and Concord Theatricals, the In the Bookshop with… series provides a unique insight into the literary and theatrical inspirations behind Royal Court programmed playwrights.

In this episode, Kirkwood picks out some of the plays and playwrights from the Royal Court’s Samuel French bookshop that have inspired, moved and impacted her.
