I See You wins Fleur du Cap Theatre Award

Mongiwekhaya’s I See You won Best New South African Script at the 52^nd annual Fleur Du Cap Theatre Awards.

I See You was a co-production between the Royal Court Theatre and the Market Theatre Johannesburg and was presented as part of International Playwrights: A Genesis Foundation Project. It was developed during the Royal Court’s new writing project in South Africa which began in 2013. The project was supported by the British Council and Connect ZA. It was nominated for its run at the Fugard Theatre in Cape Town after being performed in London at the Royal Court and in Johannesburg at the Market Theatre.

The awards were presented on Sunday 19 January 2017 in Cape Town.
