The Royal Court Theatre Announced as Part of the British Council's UK in JAPAN 2019-2020 Programme
Published on Wed 26 Jun 2019The Royal Court Theatre has been announced as one of the cultural organisations taking part the British Council’s UK in JAPAN 2019-2020 cultural programme.
UK in JAPAN 2019-20 will highlight the breadth of the UK relationship with Japan, from culture to business. The programme of cultural projects, convened by the British Council, with events and exhibitions from UK cultural organisations will take place across Japan throughout the year.
The Royal Court Theatre will run international playwriting workshops, which will be hosted by the New National Theatre Tokyo and lead by Royal Court playwrights and members of the theatre’s Artistic Team.
UK in JAPAN 2019-20 will run from September 2019 to September 2020 coinciding with the Rugby World Cup 2019 and Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
