The Royal Court Theatre Receives Four Nominations in The Stage Debut Awards 2019

The Royal Court Theatre has received four nominations in this year’s The Stage Debut Awards – the only awards to recognise breakthrough theatre talent.

The nominations include:

  • Jamal Ajala – Best Actor in a Play for ear for eye by debbie tucker green
  • Nicôle Lecky – Best Writer for Superhoe
  • Jasmine Lee-Jones – Best Writer for seven methods of killing kylie jenner
  • Jade Lewis – Best Director for Superhoe by Nicôle Lecky

ear for eye by debbie tucker green ran in the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Downstairs from Thursday 25 October 2018 – Saturday 24 November 2018.

Superhoe by Nicôle Lecky, a co-production with Talawa, was performed in the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from Wednesday 30 January 2019 – Saturday 16 February 2019.

seven methods of killing kylie jenner by Jasmine Lee-Jones opened at the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from Thursday 4 July 2019 – Saturday 27 July 2019.

The winners will be announced on Sunday 15 September 2019 at the Brewery in London. The ceremony will be streamed live on The Stage’s Facebook page.
