Drinking Concrete: The Concept Album
Join us for Open Court’s concept album, a unique collaboration between theatre makers, composers and young writers telling five original stories, each inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s album To Pimp A Butterfly.
Drinking Concrete is a spillage of plays, tracks and visuals that unfolds through live performances and original compositions in a new space at the Royal Court.
Written by Jasmine Jones, Sarah Stephenson, Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu, Rebecca Porter and Zeyana Yussuf. Directed by Royal Court Associate Director Hamish Pirie (Human Animals, Violence and Son, Teh Internet is Serious Business).
With music by James Fortune (composer) David McSeveney (Music director/ composer) and Chris Sonnex (composer).
