Now going into its 8th series with current host Susan Wokoma, The Playwright’s Podcast has become a treasure trove for playwrights and the playwright-curious. Each season, the Royal Court invites some of the world’s leading playwrights talk about their lives, their journeys, their work and the craft of playwrighting.

Now, we’re opening up a special series of live podcast recordings, hosted in our Royal Court Bar and Kitchen. Each recording will delve deep into the experiences of the featured writers and their professional and artistic insights. The live events include an additional audience Q&A, only available for people attending in-person.

Our first two live podcast recordings will take place in November, and will feature some of our Associate Playwrights including Vinay Patel, Nina Segal, Mike Bartlett and more, in conversation with Susan Wokoma. Full line-up to be announced soon.
