New cast members announced for The Ferryman at the Gielgud Theatre.

The producers, Sonia Friedman Productions, Neal Street Productions and Royal Court Theatre Productions today announced that new cast members will join Jez Butterworth’s The Ferryman, directed by Sam Mendes.

Maureen Beattie, Charles Dale, Laurie Davidson, Sarah Greene, William Houston, Ivan Kaye, Mark Lambert, Catherine McCormack, Fergal McElherron and Glenn Speers will join the company from October 9th 2017.

The original company will give its final performance on October 7th 2017, following which the cast will be comprised of:

The Ferryman is directed by Sam Mendes, designed by Rob Howell, with lighting by Peter Mumford, and sound and original music by Nick Powell.

The production won widespread critical acclaim when it opened at the Royal Court and was the fastest selling show in the theatre’s history.

It premiered at the Royal Court in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs on 24 April 2017 and ran until 20 May 2017 before opening at the Gielgud on 20 June 2017.

The Ferryman will continue to run at the Gielgud Theatre until January 6 2018.
