Royal Court Theatre Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone said;

First time playwrights and hugely experienced writers and journalists come together to make the variety of work at the Royal Court, from September to April. Everyone shares the urgent need to ask questions in an overwhelming world, and with their words and playful imaginations offer us a place to meet their stories, their ideas, and their experiences.

From verbatim, to club cabaret and fantasy, all this fearless work plays with our expectations of theatrical form to entertain and provoke us, leading us in to surprising places to create a deeper sense of understanding. In times of uncertainty, it seems that writers are inviting us to go on a journey into their imaginations and find empathy and new connections there.”
