“I feel like England’s forcing the brain out me head.”

A Road, a wild night, a drunken tour guide, a journey to the gutter and the stars and back.

“Why’s the world so tough? It’s like walking through meat in high heels.”

Jim Cartwright’s seminal play gives expression to the inhabitants of an unnamed northern road in Eighties Britain.

Road is coming round us.”

Royal Court Associate Director John Tiffany directs this new production, thirty years after it was originally staged at the Royal Court.

Designed by Royal Court Associate Designer Chloe Lamford with lighting by Lee Curran, sound by Gareth Fry and movement by Jonathan Watkins.

There will be a relaxed performance on Sat 26 Aug 2.30pm, aimed at anyone aged 14+ who would benefit from a relaxed theatre going experience.
