“Polyamorists. They’re like the billionaires of romance. Most of us can’t get one boyfriend, they get several”
David is in love with King but who isn’t? King’s a Superhero. King is In. His. Prime.
Danny Lee Wynter’s debut play is a superbly funny, thought-provoking and sexy tale of unrequited love.
After an unexpected encounter, David plunges himself into a world of sex, drugs and hero worship in the hope of being rescued, and you know that his mates have an opinion (or five) about it.
Directed by Daniel Evans, BLACK SUPERHERO is a long overdue depiction of the Black, queer experience and sees Wynter firmly establishing himself as an exciting new voice to watch out for.
It is with deep regret we have to announce that due to personal circumstances, Danny Lee Wynter has taken the difficult decision to withdraw from performing the role of David in BLACK SUPERHERO. The role of David will now be played by Lewis Brown.
“Robust and energetic - a seductive debut. Part satire, part serious drama, Danny Lee Wynter’s story of gay love and acting slowly reveals its emotional powers.”

"BLACK SUPERHERO is hot. Very hot. An ambitious, sexy play about a queer life in crisis."

“Lively, full of punchy dialogue and quippy one-liners. Wynter’s voice is an exciting one, and BLACK SUPERHERO a unique exploration of blackness and queerness."
