Welcoming you to the Royal Court

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the Royal Court and are taking the necessary steps to ensure we can welcome you back safely.

If you have any questions ahead of your visit please do get in touch with the Box Office team via email: boxoffice@royalcourttheatre.com

We’re proud to be See It Safely approved by Official London Theatre, so you can feel confident and safe knowing that staff, artists and audiences are COVID-secure based on the latest government guidelines.

Performances of Rare Earth Mettle and A Fight Against… will be sold at full seating capacities.

Here are some useful details when booking your tickets and planning your visit:

Doors for ticket-holders will open 30 minutes before the performance. We strongly advise ticket-holders to arrive early and take their seats in advance of the start time.

All customers have been issued with e-tickets in advance of attending a performance. Your e-ticket will have come from boxoffice@royalcourttheatre.com and can found by searching “e-ticket” in your inbox. We ask all ticket-holders to have their e-tickets on their phone or printed off before making their way to the theatre.

Face coverings

We require all audience members, unless medically exempt, to wear face coverings throughout the venue and in the auditorium, out of respect for others, and in support of the cast. Masks can be removed when sat at a table in the Bar & Kitchen. If you are exempt, we would appreciate you advising front of house staff on arrival.

Pre-show drinks

If you’d like to join us for pre-show drinks we’d recommend booking a table either in our outdoor pop-up bar Court in the Square or the indoor Bar & Kitchen.

The cloakroom will open with limited capacity therefore we ask that you do not bring large bulky items to the theatre.

No latecomers or readmittance

We advise ticket-holders to arrive early. Latecomers will not be admitted to the auditorium and ticket-holders will not be allowed to re-enter the auditorium if they leave once the performance has started.

Track and Trace

The NHS Track and Trace QR Code will be displayed at the entrances to the building and we encourage visitors to check in on arrival.

The Auditorium

The Jerwood Theatre Downstairs has a system which allows all extracted air to leave the building and fresh air is drawn in from outside. We have been operating our systems for longer periods of time so they come on earlier in the morning and stay on until late. This helps refresh the air before and after audiences are in the space.

What happens if I feel ill and can’t use my ticket?

Please do not attend the venue and contact the Box Office if you

  • believe you may be infected with COVID-19;
  • have experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
  • have been in close proximity to anyone who has experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
  • have arrived in England in the last 14 days and are not covered by the exemption rules relating to self-isolation; or
  • have been instructed to self-isolate.

We have been granted the Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre’s ‘See It Safely‘ mark. This mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences.
