Head of Stage

The Head of Stage is a key position within the Production team, responsible for the delivery and management of technical stage requirements for all Royal Court Theatre productions and related projects, contributing to and upholding the highest production values on all Royal Court Theatre shows.

Open Call for two different upcoming productions

  • TIBETAN HERITAGE ACTORS, ARTISTS & PERFORMERS
  • JAPANESE, SOUTH KOREAN and CHINESE ACTORS who SPEAK ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

In Spring 2019, we are seeking actors for two plays: Pah-La by Abhishek Majumdar, and White Pearl by Anchuli Felicia King.

Pah-La by Abhishek Majumdar / directed by Debbie Hannan

We are seeking specifically Tibetan-heritage actors of all ages and genders. Pah-La is about a Tibetan nun who self-immolates in act of protest. Actors must be fully available between 4th March – 27th April 2019. We are also looking for specifically Tibetan-heritage musicians, composers, visual artists and theatre professionals to be involved in this production.

White Pearl by Anchuli Felicia King / directed by Nana Dakin

We are seeking specifically non-native-English-speaking Japanese, South Korean and Chinese actresses in their 20s and 30s. White Pearl takes place in the Singaporean headquarters of an international beauty brand run by a team of young women. 3 characters in the play are non-native-English-speakers from Japan, South Korea and China so we are specifically seeking actresses with some command of English who are non-native-English-speakers. Actors must be fully available between 8th April – 15th June 2019.

Please note we are unable to respond to all submissions but we will contact you if there is a suitable opportunity for you to audition.

We do let all actors know the outcome of their audition via their agent, or directly if they are not represented. This can take a few weeks depending on the process but we aim to do this as soon as possible once a decision has been made.
