Royal Court Theatre Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone said;

“We are nearly there. After months of disruption and postponement, after plagues and flooding, we are delighted to announce the last precious plays which have been waiting not so patiently to be put in front of you our audience.

The work more than ever feels urgent, dynamic and confirms theatre as a vital and hopeful part of our cultural life. As the mirror we hold up to ourselves, as the place where empathy is fostered, where the unheard are given voice.

This season involves important international partnerships, first time writers, experienced writers in their prime and global stories reflecting our place in the world.

Over the next few weeks we will be announcing the new partnerships, the new work, the new ideas but for now we are treasuring the plays we have saved from the last two years. We hope you will treasure them too.”

Royal Court Friends Re-launch
The Royal Court is launching a revamped Friends scheme which includes a new Good Friend level.
From £40/ year, Friends are the first to hear about Royal Court Theatre productions, get priority booking including access to £12 Mondays and enjoy a 10% discount in the Bar & Kitchen and Samuel French bookshop. Good Friends can join from £95/year and will also receive five complimentary playtexts for Royal Court productions and an invitation for two to step behind the scenes of the Royal Court Theatre at a special annual event.

The income received from our memberships directly supports the Royal Court’s mission, providing writers with a space and platform to experiment and develop their writing, inspiring the next generation of theatre-makers. We’re incredibly grateful for the loyalty and support received from Friends during the pandemic and look forward to sharing upcoming Royal Court productions with them.

Our pricing is accessible

• To make up for a lost year of discount schemes for young people in 2020, we have extended this discount for under 26s to under 27s. Reduced price tickets will be available for all productions across the season.

• Our £12 Monday scheme is continuing.
