Ewan Jones Morris

Ewan is a filmmaker, director and animator who takes a multidisciplinary approach to filmmaking, combining live action, collage, stop motion and CGI to transform the ordinary and explore imagined inner worlds. His music video work has attracted a number of awards, having directed and co-directed videos for the likes of John Grant, Leftfield, DJ Shadow, The Human League, Cate Le Bon and Anna Meredith. Ewan has collaborated with artist Bedwyr Williams on a number of films including Starry Messenger, Echt, Century Egg and most recently Flexure which screened as part of Williams’ Barbican exhibition in The Curve.

Ewan collaborated with comedian Daniel Kitson, creating films of his theatre pieces It’s Always Right Now Until It’s Later and Tree, and his work is regularly featured at Adam Buxton’s BFI fixture BUG. Ewan’s recent BFI funded short film This Far Up won a Bafta Cymru award for best short in 2017.

His most recent collaboration was on TBCTV, a performance and moving image exhibition for Somerset House Studios with Mel Brimfield and Royal Court Associate Designer Chloe Lamford.
