I See You nominated for Naledi Theatre Awards

Mongiwekhaya’s I See You , a co-production between Royal Court Theatre and the Market Theatre Johannesburg, has been nominated for Best New South African Script at the Naledi Theatre Awards.

I See You is also nominated for Best Cutting Edge and Best Production of a Play. Actors Desmond Dube and Lunga Radebe are both nominated for Best Performance in a Play: Male.

The date for the awards ceremony is to be confirmed.

I See You was presented as part of International Playwrights: A Genesis Foundation Project. It was developed during the Royal Court’s new writing project in South Africa which began in 2013. The project was supported by the British Council and Connect ZA. It was performed at the Fugard Theatre in Cape Town and the Market Theatre in Johannesberg after a run in London at the Royal Court.
