I See You wins at Naledi Theatre Awards

Mongiwekhaya’s I See You, a co-production between Royal Court Theatre and the Market Theatre Johannesburg, has won the award for Best Production of a Play at the Naledi Theatre Awards, along with Desmond Dube for Best Actor.

I See You was presented as part of International Playwrights: A Genesis Foundation Project. It was developed during the Royal Court’s new writing project in South Africa which began in 2013. The project was supported by the British Council and Connect ZA. It was performed at the Fugard Theatre in Cape Town and the Market Theatre in Johannesberg after a run in London at the Royal Court.
