The Ferryman has won Best New Play at the Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards 2018. Presented annually, the awards celebrate outstanding achievements in theatre.

The Ferryman is written by Jez Butterworth and directed by Sam Mendes. It is a co-production between Sonia Friedman Productions, Neal Street Productions and Royal Court Theatre Productions. It became the fastest selling show in the Royal Court Theatre’s history and is now running at the Gielgud Theatre until 19 May 2018.
